Scraps of Darkness Design Team Reveal

Hi Everyone! Happy Sunday!
Today I am sharing a sneek peek of what is to come with our July reveal for Scraps of Darkness.
This kit is the beauty titled "Gypsy Summer"

A bright happy combination of Graphic 45 and My Minds Eye.
You can see the kit and adds on in more detail at Scraps of Darkness

In our color and creativity add on we received a gorgeous collection of Faber Castell Gelatos- Crayons and Stampers Big Brush Pens along with some stamps and mixed media cards!
What fun to work with!!!

My first project this month emcompasses a seaside theme. These papers just bring out the summer loving in me.

I layered cardstock and pattern paper and tore off my punched edges for a distressed look. Then I went crazy with Gelatos on my white cardstock background.
I love the watercolor effect these lend. You just scrape a piece of the gelatos off mix it up with water and pour it on your page.
Spread it around with a brush or your finger or use a mask and paint it on.

I've also added lots of texture with gel medium and different fibers.

I used Gelatos with masking and also modeling paste.

We always have a ton of flowers to work with and I've and I went a little crazy filling in with blooms

I like to use Spellbinders Dies to cut my photos out. It's a switch from the traditional square photo look and softens the edges.

One last look at the layering and dimension. Stay tuned for more projects by the Scraps of Darkness coming soon...

Have a great week!
