Garden Journal Tag

Hi Everyone... and welcome to my blog!

I have a quick share for you today. I created this Garden Journal tag for one of my ETSY shop customers. I love this collection from BoBunny and I really piled on the florals and shabby goodness.

I've been using the deckle edge scissors on my tags lately. Funny how we forget those old supplies in favor of the new. Remember all those fancy edges scissors? Use them! LOL

The ribbon is hand dyed seam binding. It really is my favorite way to top off a tag.

And of course a gorgeous little brad from the same collection.

The florals are Prima and Magnolia. The are from my stash. I added the little bird and sentiment from another of BoBunny's collections. I love to mix it up and their collections blend really well together.

File Folder Pocket Mini Album- BoBunny

Hello Friends! 

Today I'm sharing my last design team project for BoBunny. 

It's been a wonderful two years on the BoBunny Design Team. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with their beautiful products along with the best designers in the industry. After a great two year run I've decided to take a break from design work and not stay on for another term. 

I wanted to do a knock out project for my final piece and I created a file folder pocket mini album. I have always been inspired by a wonderful designer - Cherry Nelson. You can find her blog here. She's been doing these file folder tag pockets for years that I have always loved. I don't like to do exactly the same type of project as someone else so I always set aside my desire to create one. 

Then one day I had a brainstorm to do the file folder pocket but include mini album type items within it instead of tags.

I created the file folder pocket then tucked a flip book, an oversized tag, pocket with tags and some envelopes and small tags that fit inside.

I used the Juliet Collection for this project. The outside of the envelope is stitched and covered with the gorgeous Juliet papers and tons of flowers!

This is  a pocket with slots for tags. The back has a little envelope with two tags tucked into it.

Inside I have a spot for a photo on the left and the flip pages on the right.

I also created two little envelopes and tags.

Another view of the inside. The BoBunny rub ons highlight the photo mat. These are the best rub ons. They go on without a hitch!

Such a fun project and so beautiful in the BoBunny Juliet collection.

Heritage Layout- BoBunny

Hello Friends-

I just wanted to share this layout I created for BoBunny some weeks ago.

I posted a sneak peek on my blog when it was scheduled for the BoBunny Blog but now and sharing the whole page in case you missed it!

This is a very grungy layout created with the "Heritage" collection from BoBunny. You can find the full collection >>>>>> here

I used paper tearing, stamping and masking. For grungy texture I inked up some cheese cloth and tucked it under the photo.

I used many of the BoBunny stamps on this page. I like to use them in a random way for interesting effects. Here I used the Flutter Stamps and rather than stamp a full butterfly in a pretty manner I used it randomly for interest. This photo is of my Grandfather and his brother taken back in the early 1900's. :)

Girls Night In Party Favor Linen Bags - BoBunny

Just stopping in today to share a project with you I had up on the BoBunny last month.

I thought it would be fun to embellish some linen bags with the Sweet Life Kraft Squares and use these as cute party favor bags for my next girls night in.

Having some friends over for a wine and cheese party and have them leave with a little something tucked into one of these bags!

I used lace ribbon, buttons and clothespins to make these bags so sweet.

I used the BoBunny Flutter Dies on these as well!

Sweet Life Layout - BoBunny

Hello Friends!

Today I have a layout created with BoBunny "Sweet Life" collection. You can find all the beautiful papers in this collection >>>>>> HERE

I used a sheet of cardboard as my base and ripped the pattern paper on a diagonal. Then added some laces and tucked them underneath the tear!

I mixed in some embellishments from older collections. BoBunny collections mix so well. I used some chipboard pieces from Modern Miss.

BoBunny has a line of mixed media products which I love. The Bronze Glimmer Spray is my favorite and I've used it in several spots on my page!

I used stitching around my layers, some modeling paste and stamps.

The large flower was created with a Heartfelt Creations Die I have on hand.

Girls Night In Gift Bags - BoBunny

Hello Friends!
 Today I am up on the BoBunny Blog sharing some "Girls Night In Gift Bags" 

These are special little linen bags I created that can be filled with your friends favorite treats! A special way of saying "Thanks for coming over and hanging with me."

You can fill it with their favorite lipstick, perfume, chocolate... whatever tickles their fancy.

BoBunny Safari Layout

Hi Guys! Today I've got a layout to share for BoBunny featuring the beautiful Safari Collection you can find it here.

 I love to do distress punching on my edges. It gives a tattered look that fits in with my grungy collage style. I've used a dark blue cardstock from BoBunny collections as my base.

I added lots of stamps, masking and splatters. The leaves are die cuts of Cottage Cutz and Sizzix.

A little machine stitching too. I've used the leaves from the Safari Palms papers with some fussy cutting. I like to mix things up and tear up the stickers and the break up the wooden embellishments.

Here is another view. I added my own centers to the BoBunny flowers. I like to get more milage out of my flowers by taking them apart and making a few flowers out of one.

Altered Book Box- BoBunny

Hi Everyone! 

Today I am sharing a project I created for BoBunny once again featuring the Star Crossed collection! 

This is a book box I had on hand. I'm in the dry embossing mode lately and embossed the papers covering the front back and binding with a folder and my cuttlebug.

I used some of the wood shapes and the pearlescents to paint them.

Lots of layers as always. I love cutting out elements and layering them. I also pulled out some random embellishments from older collections. Odds and ends from things almost used up.

I love little whimsical details and dangling items from my altered projects and albums.

I used a technique to create this crinkled book binding along the book page edges. I will be sharing a video tutorial on how I did this very soon. :)

I used gold inka gold on the edges of the book and also over the crinkled pages along with BoBunny Glimmer Sprays.

This is the inside of the book. I used a vintage photo and added lace and little tucked in cards for journaling or photos.

Star Crossed Tag Mini Album - BoBunny

Hey Friends! 

I've got a little tag mini album to share with you today featuring BoBunny's Star Crossed Collection! Love this collection! So much fun to work with and so many pretty elements that work so well with mini albums. You can see the Star Crossed products here on the BoBunny site!

I really went crazy this month using the BoBunny glitter paste! Love that stuff!

a little on the edges of... hmmm...everything!

 I cut the feathers from one of the pattern papers and added some little pearls and more glitter paste.

 I also used a lot of Bronze Glimmer Mist. I love that color mist too. Just spraying randomly here and there.

 Here is a close up. Layered chipboard and I added some punched corners on my layering.

 I love adding little dangling things to the closure of my mini albums.

 This was a little envelope I created from one of the Kraft Bags. 

I found some chipboard elements from the Modern Miss collection worked so well with Star Crossed. I added them a little here and there.

I also used some of the Noteworthy products. I made a little fold out by cutting one of the journal cards in half.

These gold tags were in my stash and I added little chipboard elements from Modern Miss to enhance them.
