Garden Journal Tag

Hello Friends-
Today I a quick share- a tag I created with the beautiful BoBunny Garden Journal Collection.

I've been into using my "deckle" scissors lately. Remember those? The fancy edges on the different scissors that we put aside. I love the edges and they are fun to use especially on tags.
I layered some of the beautiful pattern papers with a few die cuts then added chipboard and florals.

I coated some chipboard in gesso, stamped and embossed with a Lindys embossing powder.

I also added splatters with Lumiere Paints.

Guest Designing for Scrap Africa

Scrap Africa and BoBunny Juliet and Heritage!

I'm so honored to say I was invited by the beautiful Denise Van Deventer to guest design this month at Scrap Africa! Can I get a whoo hoo? Whoo hoo!

Look at this gorgeous mood board I got to play with!
You can find Scrap Africa and the challenge--- here.

I have a dear scrap friend Jenny Dodds that has been a part of the Scraps of Darkness family from the early days. I always wanted to scrap a few of wedding photos. Every time she posted them I would tell her how much I would love to scrap them. Of course time goes by and things come up- like a lot of design team obligations!

When I saw this mood board I immediately thought of that photo of Jenny. I just loved the quote on here... it was my total inspiration for this page. Jenny was sweet enough to allow me to use her photo and I'll be sending her this page in return. :)

I chose to use my favorite digi frame by Holly McCaig to alter the photo of Jenny and her husband. I picked up the colors of the mood board and added some inking for that rustic feeling found on the mood board.

So Happy Together Layout by Lisa Novogrodski for BoBunny and Scrap Africa using Heritage and Juliet Collections

Once again I have revisited my shabby chic style. A little mixed media stamping and inking in the background. I don't know is the shabby look out of style? I feel as though this photo called for something more elegant than a splattered mixed media page. :)

I took some of the BoBunny florals apart and folded them into smaller blossoms inserting them in between the die cut leaves. I used both the Heritage Collection and Juliet on this layout. The colors blend so well together. I just love that about BoBunny. I'm always able to mix collections to make things interesting.

The wooden chipboard clock is from Bobunny. I stained, painted and embossed it for texture and shimmer.

I added some cheesecloth and tucked it under the photo.

BoBunny jewels here and there.

This is a shot of the page from another angle. I also did some edge stitching.

You will want to check out the wonderful Scrap Africa site and play along with the beautiful mood board!

BoBunny Penny Emporium

Hello Blog Friends!

I'm up on the BoBunny blog today sharing a project created with the Penny Emporium collection. This is beautiful collection that can go in so many different different directions. It has a steampunk theme and a vintage flair. Gorgeous shades of purple, lavender and teal paired with browns and greys! You can see the full collection HERE.

BoBunny Penny Emporium layout by Lisa Novogrodski
This is a photo of my dd and I have her planted amid a garden of BoBunny Blossoms and my own hand made florals.

I'm falling back into shabby chic scrapping mode with a little touch of mixed media. Lots of background stamping with BoBunny's STITCHES STAMP and the WALL TO WALL TEXTURES STAMP.

I have been using my dies and punches again. Lots of random distress punching on my edges. I've used dies for the rosettes and leaves. The centers of the rosettes are more punches with touches of BoBunny glitter paste in gold.

I used a wooden embellishment from BoBunny the IRON WORKS SHAPE and painted it with some pearlescents. I took some BoBunny Blossoms apart, cut them into 3 petals and shaped them to drape along my vines.
Thanks a TON for stopping by! Happy Sunday!

BoBunny Tags with Juliet

Hello Friends!

One of my favorite items to create are tags. I could create tags and nothing else...well maybe ATC's. I love them as well. I love to see how layered and detailed I can make a small space.
Maybe I'll give up designing just so I can do what I want all the time! LOL

Onward- I 've used one of the newest releases from BoBunny called "Juliet" and of course I chose the grungier side of it. I love the blues and tans and the ability this color combo has to become vintage and grungy all at the same time.

I did make this shabby as well. Lot's of styles thrown into this piece. Little bits of eyelash yarn on the tie with lace and ribbon.

In the background I have layered in one of the newest dies from BoBunny. This one is the Ornate Frame. You can find the BoBunny dies and collections here.

I created the Rosette flowers which are my new favorite. You will be seeing these a lot in upcoming posts. They are easy to create and mix well with other florals. I used the new chipboard Butterflies from BoBunny. I coated it in Pearlescents first then embossed it in areas with Lindys embossing powder. I added some micro beads to this butterfly and tag for a special touch.

The back of both tags were covered in a book page and stitched around the edges. The back of this one has a touch of masking.

This is another tag I created with the Juliet papers. More layers of flowers, die cuts and leaves.

Once again I painted my butterfly with pearlescents and then embossed with Lindys. More micro beads were added to this one as well.

I love to alter the BoBunny Blossoms to suit my style. I usually take the center out for a smaller flower to use in another spot.  Then I create my own center for remaining petals. Here I used stamping and a little button.

I love to create! It makes me happy. I hope you find some inspiration here and go off and create some beautiful tags of your own!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Boardwalk Mini Album - BoBunny

Hello Friends!

I'm up on the BoBunny Blog today with and Wallet Mini Album I created with the "Boardwalk" Collection.

This is a fun summer collection perfect for those beach photos!

I followed a tutorial on youtube to create this and you can find it here

This mini album has a lot to it! I am posting some of the photos here and the rest are on the BoBunny blog.

This is a close up of the album cover. I used some star fish shells and added lots of texture with cheesecloth and frayed twined.

On the left side of the album is a pocket and there is a pull out piece tucked inside. I embellished it with a lighthouse and little masking and tied it all up in twine.

This is the inside of the pull piece. You can put photos or other memorabilia!

The center of the album has a waterfall section. On the front side I used some of the journaling cards and sayings included in the BoBunny Boardwalk Pattern Papers. On the other side I used a Misc. Me journaling page and cut it down to use as a photo mat or journal spot.

On the back page there is another cover that I embellished with another light house and mixed media elements. The back page has a ton of pockets and tags. You can find photos of it on the BoBunny Blog!

BoBunny Penny Emporium Layout

Hello Friends! I have a layout to share today featuring one of the newest releases from BoBunny. This one is Penny Emporium.

You can find the full collection--------here

This collection has a steampunk feel to it but I have used the softer sides and created more of a "pretty shabby" style layout.
I have not done a layout in this style for some time and I have to say it was a challenge! I've been into the messy mixed media style so I really had to restrain myself here! :)

I really piled on the florals and leaves. A mix of plum, lavender, gold, brown and aqua.

Our Adventures Layout by Lisa Novogrodski for BoBunny featuring Penny Emporium

I also broke out my punches! I haven't used them in so long they are getting hard to punch with! I used ink along the edges in brown to give a vintage look.

The flowers were created used a Sizzix die, some tiny roses I created and I added in BoBunny florals. The leaves are my favorite Cottage Cutz die.

One of my favorite things to do is to stamp on my photo to blend into the background and add some more interest to the photo.

This paper is just beautiful! I love the soft purple tones mixed with the aquas. The browns and gold really set it off! This is one of my favorite new collections by BoBunny. I know you will love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed todays post!

BoBunny- Mixed Media Burlap Canvas Cards

Hey Gang! Just popping in today for a quick post.

Up today I have two burlap cards that were lots of fun to create with BoBunny's Heritage collection.

I love this collection so much! Have you seen it? You can find BoBunny's collections right >>>>>> here.

Mixed Media Card by Lisa Novogrodski using BoBunny Heritage

I layered the Heritage papers in the background although most of them ended up covered! LOL
I then layered stamps, stencils florals and layered chipboard.

I love the versatility of BoBunny designs. You can make this collection quite elegant if you choose or go in a mixed media direction.

I thought I would add a whimsical touch to this card. I used one of the wood kraft glasses to the clock!

BoBunny has glimmer sprays and I just LOVE them. I mixed them in with my pearlescents to paint the background and so some splattering.

You can find the glimmer sprays >>>>>> here
and the pearlescents >>>>>>>> here

Forever Young - BoBunny

Hello Friends!
I've a post up on the BoBunny Facebook Page today. Sharing a layout created in my version of "clean and simple with multi photos" (insert snicker here)
This is about as clean and simple as I can get right now. I also have a hard time with multi photos because my style at the moment is more about technique then big photos taking over a page. Sorry photo lovers.
I used a Katie Pertiet Filmstrip Frame for my photos you can find those  >>> here

I tend to like to use digi frames when doing multi photos or to add interesting effects to my photos.

I used the Forever Young collection on this layout. Love the fresh summery colors and fun graphics. You can view the collection >>> here

I also used a combination of stamps from BoBunny.
Stitches, Stained Textures and It Is Written.
You can find those >>> here

A little punching around the photo on that pretty green paper.

Drips in the background using the new BoBunny Glimmer Sprays.
Again you can see them >>> here

BoBunny has some fun stencils and I like to use them out of the norm. I used the Butterfly Stickable Stencils but only the small dots on them. I didn't want butterflies but wanted the design.
You can find those >>> here

Thanks a bunch for stopping in!

Pocket Tag Tutorial - BoBunny

Hello Friends!

Last week I shared a Pocket Tag created as a teachers gift on the BoBunny Blog.
In case you missed it here is a look at the tag and the VIDEO TUTORIAL is here as well!

I used the Garden Journal collection on this one. A beautiful collection that inspired me to create a tag, using Rangers oversized tags and I created a pocket to hold an envelope with seed packets.  I'll include some garden gloves and little pots in a gift bag for my daughter's end of the year teachers gift!

You can find Garden Journal and all BoBunny products >>>> Here

I used a Ranger tag covered in Garden Journal papers! I also used the Flutter Die to create my butterfly.

The white tag was adored with the new BoBunny Gold Foil Rub Ons. These are a dream to work with.

Finally a little Kraft envelope containing some seed packets. My daughter can write a note to her teacher on the Post Card Journal piece.

Enjoy!

BoBunny Carnival Tags

Hey Gang!

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY HERE

Today I've got some tags to share with you created with the BoBunny Carnival Collection. I wanted to show how this collection could be used in a mixed media fashion and I had so much fun creating with it! Have you seen this beautiful line? You can find it >>>> here

I used "Carnival Balancing Act" pattern paper on my background. I cut the butterflies using "Carnival Levitation." Have you seen the new dies by BoBunny? These are the "Flutter Dies" you can find them >>>> here

BoBunny also has a great new collection of Stickable Stencils. I used the "Border Stencils" in the background both with paste and ink. You can find them >>>> here

For my embellishments I broke up some wood elements, misted some cheesecloth, adding string and some small glass beads and sequins.

Pearlescents and gold glitter paste was used to add color along with glimmer sprays. I used Brilliant Blue and Chocolate for the Pearlescents found >>>> here
Frost Glimmer Spray found >>>> here and Gold Glitter paste found >>>> here

I really love the effects. I also cut bits and pieces from the papers like the word "ticket" and "fun"

I adhered them to a black Ranger tag and topped it off with a twine cord that I unraveled for a fluffier effect!

Thanks so much for stopping in today! Have a great week!
xoxo

BoBunny Garden Journal Tags

One of my favorite new collections from BoBunny is the Garden Journal. You can find the full collection here

I created two tags using these gorgeous papers and mixing in a few embellishments from older collections.

Destiny Tag by Lisa Novogrodski using BoBunny Garden Journal

I used some deckle scissors to cut out the tag shape on my pattern paper. I like to cover the front and back of my tags with paper. I used book pages on the back and I'll give you a peek of that at the end.

I pulled out some of my Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies and created some flowers. I also created the flower centers with clay in a mold. Then I used Pearlescents and Glitter Pastes on them.

BoBunny has some beautiful new dies and I used one to cut out the floral shape and another beneath it. You can find BoBunny dies here.

Garden Tag by Lisa Novogrodski for BoBunny using the Garden Journal Collection

This is a peek at my second tag. Lots of layers of cheesecloth, florals and die cut leaves.

Here is a little close up of the die cut leaves. The florals were cut from another pattern paper in this collection.

Here is a peek at the back. I used a book page on the back of both tags and inked the edges.
