Winter's Song

I am going to be providing on going color tutorials to go along with the Scraps of Darkness Color Add Ons that are part of our monthly kits! We always have such a great selections of mists, stamps and embossing etc. and want to give some help to our gals who are afraid to get their hands down and dirty with these techniques!

Here is a peek at the layout I created for this tutorial.

This layout was created with the beautiful Winter's Song Papers from Christine Adolph over at Creative Imaginations. Texture Paste, Lindys's Mists, Prima Mistables, Fussy Cutting, Stitching and Photoshop were all involved in the techniques for this layout.

The video tutorial will be added sometime next week along with close ups and details.
Stay tuned.... :)

Scraps of Darkness Winters Eve

I have another layout to share using the beautiful Winters Eve kit for December at Scraps of Darkness.

I combined some of the papers in our kit : Bo Bunny and Creative Imaginations. Love the purple and black combo! I dressed my dress form and colored my leaves with Lindys. The Lindys mists we get in our color add on are perfect to color leaves and flowers.

The flowers were in the kit with the exception of the tiny white roses I added. I added wings to my daughter in photoshop and also used a snowflake texture to get that effect on the photo.

Souless

I created this layout for the challenge I host over at Scraps of Darkness called "Scrap that Title."
This challenge runs quarterly and I give the ladies a title and that is what they have to run with.
They can add a sub title but can't change the title. I love to see what everyones interpretation is.

Here is mine!
This is my favorite crew of vampires. You may be seeing them again this month! Or maybe just one.
I used a lot of left overs. I tend to scrap my kits right now to the nitty gritty. The back ground paper is a Creative Imaginations piece. Most everything else is scraps from the Envy & Passages kit at Scraps of Darkness.

I cut my leaves with the matching spellbinders die that goes along with my Heartfelt Creations leaves.
The red flowers are a sizzix die and I layered and inked the flowers then bend them and roll them inward for texture.

Last of the Marrakesh

This is probably the last layout I will manage to "squeeze" out of this beautiful kit from Scraps of Darkness!

This is a photo of my dd and I used a portion of a quote I found in one of my books. "All the dreams I prayed you'd be are all the things you are..."
I used the Prima mask from our Color Add On, The flower vine in our kit and the little purple flowers were part of pack of assorted tags, flowers and paisley pieces also in our kit. I layered the paper flowers and painted them with liquid pearl paint. Again with the punching. That's my signature. Don't try to stop me. LOL
The butterfly was also part of the Scraps of Darkness kit collection along with Mandy's beautiful pin!

Round Robin at Scraps of Darkness

If you have never played the Round Robin they are lots of fun! SOD has one going on right now and I am 3rd on my team lifting my SOD sista Ashley.
Let me tell you I rounded up the last of my Scraps of Darkness July "Marrakesh Kit" to knock out this layout! I used the Prima Mask and Prima Mistables that were in this months color add on.
If you hurry there might be one left. The H2o's and the mists are fabulous! I cut the flowers out of the Prima Canvas an used the mask on it with a mist. Then I used micro beads and layered the flowers. The Prima flower centers and rub ons' can be found as part of the SOD kit. Lot's of inking and stamping here too.
This photo is another of my older daughter when she was young! She is getting a lot face time this month!
Thank you for the visit today!
