1st Reveal Scraps of Darkness August Kit

Hello Friends!
Today I have my first reveal project ready created with my
August Scraps of Darkness Kit
"Kathys Nature Walk"

You can find our kits
 and the
store --------- HERE

My first project this month is a Tag Mini Album. I love creating these. Love all the little bits and pieces, tiny tags and dangles...

I used the BoBunny Heritage "Collection Census"as my background on one side of the tag. I like consistency with mini albums so one side of all the pages are treated with this paper. All of the pages are embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Kathys Nature Walk Tag Mini Album by Lisa Novogrodski for Scraps of Darkness using the August 2015 Kit

The front cover is embellished with a gorgeous Vintaj metal dragonfly included in the Creativity Add On for the kit. The Creativity add on sells out quick. You may want to consider taking out a club membership so you won't miss any!

You can find the subscriptions ---- Here

Although the creativity add on is sold out we still have some of these gorgeous dragonflies!

You can find a pack of dragonflies----Here in the store!

I used Viva Rusty Patina and Rangers Verdigris Patina to color my metal dragonfly. These were also included in the kit along with a sander to sand off bits of the paint for a worn look.

I used some Prima Laser Cut Wood Leaves and Flowers which I received in a past Scraps of Darkness kit. I embellished them with a combo of Ranger Patina, Viva Rusty Patina and embossed with Stampendous Encrusted Jewels in Purple. The Stampendous Embossing Powders were in last months SOD kit!

You see the detailing here of the embossing and mix of Patinas.

The opposing side of each page was covered in Kaisercraft Stem also embossed with the same Cuttlebug Folder.

I used a Spellbinders die for the Kaisercraft "Seed" papers to mount a photo on.I also die cut an envelope with a Tim Holtz die and embellished it. I have two envelopes in the album to tuck goodies into.

I added a little Pink Paislee tag found in a past SOD/SOE kit and used the owl stamp in our kits. This one is by Darcie's and you can see it was included in our "Elements" add on -------- here

I used a variety of the Kaisercraft Botanica collection for more die cuts on the opposing pages highlighted with more of the Prima wood embellishments.

I also used mists from Lindys on this as splatters. I get all my mists through my color add ons from Scraps of Darkness and Elegance kit clubs.

You will find I used: Midnight Rendevous Raven, Violacous Violet and Gecko Green.

Flowers you see also come with the floral add on. I'm using Prima Coy Adelle and Petaloos Botanica Collection. I have others mixed from my stash all gained from my kits.

I added smaller tags in between with quotes from the Kaisercraft papers.

The back cover is a journal spot for you to add your thoughts...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope to see you in our Scraps of Darkness Community on Facebook!

Lisa this tag set is gorgeous! I love that idea of creating a set of tags that all go together...I really adore these, my favourite is that owl, wonderful! I've been playing around with the Vintaj metal pieces and that varnish too, they're so pretty! I have a big butterfly that I'm trying to decide how to use....happy weekend xo
