MoRe GcD and Glitz

I managed to squeeze in one more layout using GCD  and Glitz the other day while I was waiting for my DT package to arrive. Since we are buried under so much snow I thought my package was too. Alas I had to track it down and it was waiting for me at the Post Office! ( I wish my mail carrier would have clued me in on that!)

This is a photo of my DD and I. I think these Melody Ross papers beg to be detail cut! I made my own flower clusters by cutting apart the paper that you need see as the frame. The flowers were perfect to do this with. I also made a little banner for my title with little ties out of paper just for a little whimsy.

My World

This layout was influenced by the styles of Larissa Albernaz and Heidi Kelly. Two amazingly talented artists who happen to be two of my favorites. I have been trying on a more playful artsy whimsical style and look to these ladies for inspiration.
Hence- "My World" was born!
I used the beautiful, bold, color saturated papers of GCD's Artsy Urban paper for this layout. I cut the window out on my Silhouette and used a technique involving household caulking to create a stucco look on my window. (I will be doing a tut shortly- stay tuned) I also used my crackle stamp ( I told you I would using that a lot) on a piece of transparency paper and adhered that to the sticker frame to make it look like a window. I jumped on the Prima "Build a Frame" stamp set wagon and I used them on this page. I ADORE THOSE STAMPS!!!! (thanks for the inspiration Lisa G!) I did more stamping with other Prima stamps I have on hand inside the window. That is my dd who I cut out of a photo. That technique lends itself so well to these type of layouts.

Here are some close ups:

Hope you are inspired by this and try out this technique some time. It is great fun!
Thank you for the visit! I love and appreciate all your kind comments!

Happy

This layout is based on a Beggahuna sketch using the beautiful GCD Artsy Urban papers. These are some photos of yours truly taken by my friend Gina. I altered them in PSE and used a "FRAME" brush to create the frame around my face. I bought this really cool "crackle" stamp and I can see myself using it on a lot of upcoming layouts. I used it down in the bottom corner near the bird. I also used a stamp for my title and cut out the letters. I did some spritzing and masking on this layout as well.

Thank you so much for the blog visit! I love and appreciate all your comments.
Have a great weekend and big scrappy hugs to all!
