Love is in the Air...

If you have never tried creating banners you are in for a real treat. BoBunny's "Head over Heels" collection is perfect ensemble of beautiful pattern papers, buttons and die cuts and chipboard that allow you to layer your project in a perfectly coordinated way. 

I used the Strawberry Double Dot Papers as my backing and a chipboard banner shape for a sturdy base. I trimmed around the edges with a scalloped deco edge scissor.

The front of the banner was layered alternating "Head over Heels and Prince Charming"

I piled on the embellishments- buttons, noteworthy die cuts, blossoms and pieces from the 12 x 12 chipboard...

I used some cheesecloth and eyelash yarn for shabby chic touches. After my banner was decorated I used a mask and some modeling paste for added interest!

And finished it off with a hand dyed length of seam binding.
