Scraps of Elegance
Once again Melinda has put together a gorgeous kit! This one will knock your Christmas socks off! LOL
Lot's of beautiful pattern papers from BoBunny and My Minds Eye! I love the vintage feel to this kit and you will too. Don't forget to stop by Scraps of Elegance to see it all!
My first layout is based on the sketch. Anyone can play along with our challenge using any products. Why not stop by and join in? You will love the challenge and getting to know the girls in the forum.
I fell in love with this gorgeous floral paper and knew I wanted to do a vintage distressed look with it.
I softened the center of the paper with gesso and left the outside edges with a darker contrast. I've stayed away from my punch collection for quite awhile but now I'm back with a vengeance!
I've added some Dusty Attic Chipboard and dusted it with Inka Gold and gesso.
A little Inka Gold on the florals too. Love that stuff!
I used a lot of die cut leaves, inked with Vintage Photo.
I snuck in a little cardboard and tucked some lacy edges of doilies in the little tears on the paper edges.
Next up is a card I created with more vintage detailing.
I love making cards more and more. Something about the small space speaks to me. I'm in love with vintage shabby detailing and find myself collecting little bits and pieces to add to my smaller projects.
The little "Happy Holidays" greeting is a wooden piece included in the kit. I colored it up with "Inka Gold" I also dabbed Inka Gold on the silver bell. (Something I picked up in my travels)
Here is a close up of the bell and the bow is seam binding I dyed with a combination of red and brown Lindys mists.
The leaves were coated with diamond dust for a frosty sparkle!
That's it for today folks! I hope you enjoyed my reveal. I have another special project I am working on with this kit so stay tuned!
