Julie Nutting Canvas

At Scraps of Darkness/ Elegance online community on Facebook I host a bi monthly swap. The swap for January/ February was a canvas. I created mine for Debbie Adams and used a Julie Nutting stamp for my inspiration.

julie nutting canvas by Lisa Novogrodski for Scraps of Elegance using Traceys Country Kitchen Kit
This was my first time working with Julie Nuttings stamps. I have a few on hand but never used them. I must tell you I had so much fun with this one I bought more! LOL
All the papers I used were in the November Scraps of Elegance Kit  "Tracey's Country Kitchen" You can find many of the papers I used here in the online store at Scraps of Darkness/Elegance

The chipboard was from another kit "Amy's Amazing Autumn" I also added a piece of chipboard behind the Julie stamp but I'm not sure if it's Dusty Attic or another brand. It is something I had on hand. I stamped my Julie doll on various pieces of paper and cut it up to make my skirt in multiple patterns. You could stamp it on a template and cut that apart then trace onto different papers but I found it easier just to stamp it on the papers. Then I could play around with how I wanted the colors and patterns. I also stamped it on book pages. I used that for the the body and under layers of her skirt.

I also used one of the Julie Nutting Banners behind the stamp.

All the florals are from my stash obtained through Scraps of Darkness/ Elegance kits. You can find florals here in store.

Side view with some tissue tape.

We also have been receiving BoBunny rub ons in our kits and carry some in the store. They are the best rub ons I have ever used.

I can that a lot of thought went into this project! I love that you used print for her skin areas and added some in the skirt too. Very cute canvas!
