First Reveal- Scraps of Darkness July Kit

Hello Blog Friends!

Today I am sharing my first project created with our beautiful July Kit
"Tracey's Artful Adventure"
It's always an adventure to receive a kit from Scraps of Darkness.
They never disappoint! You can find our kits ------- HERE.
Melinda just redesigned the site. Go check it out! It looks amazing!

This months kit features BoBunny Penny Emporium and Kaisercrafts ScrapYard Collection. Of course I love BoBunny but I also love Kaisercraft and really adore the grungy background pattern on these papers.

Documented layout created by Lisa Novogrodski for Scraps of Darkness using the July 2015 kit Traceys Artful Adventure

This Elements Add On contained a gorgeous piece of Blue Fern chipboard. I just LOVE Blue Fern... sigh...
This is the Timeless Floral Corner. I primed it with gesso then painted on some Lindys "Silhouette Silver" (found in the color add on)  and then embossed with Stampedous Encrusted Jewels in purple (found in the creativity add on)

I LOVE the encrusted jewels. The photo shows the detailing pretty well here.

Amazing with the purple and bronze tones for the embossing. I just love it!

Also found in the Elements add on are Primas - Mechanicals - Winged.
I used several alcohol inks on it.

The background work is composed of stamping along with some paint work with Lindy's Magicals in Cowabunga Copper. This was included in the main kit along with most of the florals you see. I've added a few blue and peach ones from my stash.

You can find us on facebook---- here.
