Lisa's Love Letters- Scraps of Elegance

Have you seen our beautiful February Kit...named after me? Lucky gal I am. You can find the kit here titled "Lisa's Love Letters"
You can also subscribe to our kits so you don't miss out on any! Gosh that would be a shame. ;)

Well now with a name like that I just had to search for a photo suitable for such a beautiful kit with a "Love Letter" theme!

I snagged this photo from Dreamstime and did a little editing to it on my own. A little texture to make it look like a vintage post card. :)

I wanted to create a shabby vintage style layout. What I love most about our kits both the Elegance and the Darkness is that you can get any style out them. So versatile. As you may have seen with my last project I created a very artsy mixed media painting. Now I've got a shabby style layout! Perfection!

I used a lot of florals on this one. Some found in the kit and some from my stash. Really been digging in the stash lately trying to get some things used up!

While I kept a shabby theme I incorporated lots of mixed media! Gesso, texture paste, sprays and mica flakes.

I used chipboard from the kit which I cut apart and rearranged on my page and added a few pieces from my stash. I varied my coloring on them with different mists and Lumiere paints then used crackle over it.

For this hinge I used the same but added some distress embossing powder. Love that effect!

Once again with a chipboard butterfly.

Don't forget we have a facebook community with lots of fun things going on. Monthly swaps, art journal workshops, and fun challenges!
