Dress Form Swap at Scraps of Darkness/Elegance

Hey All! Did you know that Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance has a facebook community? You can find it here
This is where we hang out now and have lots of scrap related fun! One of the fun things we are doing during June and July are swapping dress forms. You can make your dress form any way you want- alone, on a tag, atc or mixed media piece.

Everyone has a partner and it's such fun to receive a piece of artwork from other like minded artists. My partner is the most fabulous Michelle Phillips a/k/a Bubbachooka. Did you know she is back designing for Scraps of Darkness?  We are so happy to have her back home where she belongs!!!

Here is a look at my dress form. Awhile back I did a 3D dress form and I planned to do that again for this tag. Then the design took a turn and I decided to just do one side 3-D and the other I added the "couture" chipboard from Dusty Attic.

All of my supplies are from past Scraps of Darkness/Elegance kits! I've used some beautiful Kaisercraft papers for this one.

I layered the dress forms and stamped them with a script stamp although you can't really see it in the photos. Everything is inked. I tucked in tiny flowers on the 3D side.

Here is a photo that shows the dimension.
The chipboard is Dusty Attic and I treated it with Lindys Mists in three colors but then ended up using mostly Chesire Cat Cherry which happens to be my favorite. I coated it all in crackle. I cut up a piece of cheescloth and sprayed it in the same Lindys. I shredded it a bit to look wispy and added it as sort of a skirt for the form.

The top is finished with some pink twine and I clipped off the top of one of the stick pins I have been hoarding from when Mandy a/k/a Craftysprinkles used to make them.

Here at the bottom you can see a beautiful pink ribbon topped with a flower. The sides were finished with edge punching. This is the rose crochet punch from Martha Stewart but I trimmed it off so just the flowers would show.
