This is my take on the GORGEOUS mood board. How could you not be inspired by these beautiful colors and celebratory theme?
I was first inspired by the "celebration" mood to scrap a photo of my daughter from her senior prom. I used the stunning May Kit "Cape May Holiday" from Scraps of Elegance to put this page together. You can find this beautiful kit here and if you play along you might just win one!
I loved the color scheme of the mood board and selected my colors along those lines. I've used lots of stitching, paper tearing and drips for added interest and texture.
I wanted to recreate the feeling of the balloons floating as you see in the mood board and did that with my floral cluster and anchor.
Here is a little close up of some detailing. The cheesecloth was in the kit.
I dug into my stash as it is vast and pulled out some florals I've had hidden away along with some chipboard. I kept the chipboard raw and inked for a very earthy feel.
I hope you you stop by SATW and say hi and play along with this challenge. I promise you will love it!
