Scraps of Darkness February Layout Reveal

Hello Dear Readers! Today I am sharing my first layout with the February "Touch of Grey" kit from Scraps of Darkness!

You can find the beautiful kit here because you will certainly want one for yourself!

Here is a peek at the main kit.

I especially love how Melinda puts together kits that can go so many ways. I've created a very elegant page here but check out the rest of the team here and you will find all styles, grunge, collage, mixed media and shabby elegant!

This page was created for a dear old friend of mine. Her parents passed away last year within a few months of each other. I know what a treasure they were to her and how hard this time has been. I wanted to do something special for her.

This is a photo of her parents at their 40th anniversary! How blessed they were!
I used a Martha Stewart punch all over the page for the edges. I haven't been using much in punches lately and I feel them calling me again!

I added lots of fun color to this page! I used the teal cardstock as a backdrop and added in some purple and gold! The gold tone florals were in the main kit.

I added some inking on the edges to give a vintage flair.

I broke up a piece of Dusty Attic and used mists and inks. We always get a great assortment of mists in our color add on. I mixed them up here and then inked the chipboard with distress ink.

Thanks a bunch for stopping in! Hope to see you soon at Scraps of Darkness!
