Hi Everyone!
Today I am sharing a few layouts with you.
The first two are with the October Kit from
"Rue des Rosiers"
I love the elegance of the BoBunny Avenues. Melinda always puts together a kit that is to die for. You can see from our design team and our widely varied styles how versatile our kits our. You can be anything from a mixed media artists to a fancy shabby chic artists and you find these kits are perfect for you.
I thought this particular print called for a vintage photo so I grabbed one from Magical Moonlight.
The first round of layering has distressed edges and the the next layered was punched and stitched. I used Lindys mist on the cheese cloth and layered that under my stitched edge photo.
I created some vintage dragonflies and dressed them in a glitz/ microbead glitter. These dragonflies will be available in my etsy shop! They are divine! If you want some check back often or convo me over there and I will create a set for you!
I also added some rub ons to my fussy cut birdcage.
The black die cut is a hard to find one and I can't remember the name of it! I have been adding more scrapbook and card embellishments to my shop and have these die cuts available there.
This beautiful chipboard window came in the kit. I just coated it with gesso, chalk inked the edges and stamped it with a crackle stamp.
This chipboard piece is from Dusty Attic that I had in my stash. I treated it the same way as the other one. It is highlighted with a beautiful cameo that came in our kits!

Next up is more of The Avenues! Love the gorgeous blue, peach and gold combo!
I seem to be addicted to the "garbage bag" technique I shared a while ago for applying mist and paint. I love the effect on the background and use it often as I did here with the blue mist.
You can see in this photo that I also used modeling paste and stenciling in the background.
In the mix of floral in the kit I added some stamped leaves using Heartfelt Creations stamps and some leaves die cut from pattern paper with a CottageCutz die.
I slipped in a little misted cheesecloth and those beautiful large scrolls are Dusty Attic. I misted those and crackled them then went over them with ink.

This last page is not from the October kit. It was a page I created earlier this year with another SOE kit that I just didn't really like. We had a discussion in the forums about what do you do with layouts you don't like. I go through my layouts and the older ones that I'm not crazy about I will rework if they are salvageable.
On this one I removed the photo and some of the elements and reworked the design. I used a photo from Magical Moonlight and changed the location of it I like it much better.
I had made the flowers on this layout and changed up the centers and added some leaves.
I also added in some modeling paste and feathers. The swirls are a stamp that I cut out and the black die cut is a design cut on my cameo.
You can see how beautiful all our Scraps of Elegance kits are! You know you want to stop by and check us out! ;)
