Scrap room and Storage

The gals over at Scraps of Darkness have been discussing scrap rooms and storage ideas so I thought I would share some photos of my space.
I have changed my space more times than I have hair on my head. I have a finished basement and I share that with toys and a large tv. I have a large room and a smaller room down there and have moved in and out and back again.

I'm back in the smaller room and I like it because it's not right in the tv and play area. I can close the door. :)
I'm dying to redo, with a new paint color for the walls and I would like to change out some of my white furniture for black. Just need to win the lottery.

I found these awesome digi frames when I visited Michelle Grants blog. She shared photos of her space and used these digi frames from Designer Digitals so you know I was all over that! Thanks for the inspiration Michelle!

I love my Expedit from Ikea. The cubes are wide enough to hold 12 x12 scrap paper if you want it for that or albums. I started using the Ikea Kasset magazine files with lids to store my layouts in because I am very lazy about putting them in albums.
I try to make it look pretty so I store a lot of things in jars and flea market finds.
I tend to keep some things in baskets and jars then if they are still in the packaging I move them eventually to my clip it up.
In the two red boxes are my collection of Heartfelt Creations Stamps. I keep those out because I use them frequently.

I have two of the Simply Renee clip it up. They hold a ton! I have so much more to add to them. I just need the time to do it.
I keep my paints and sizzix dies in this cabinet.
I keep these single stackable plastic draws in the cabinet and store my paints, embossing powders and different adhesives in there.
These are most of my stickles, perfect pearls and tulip paints.
This is my main work area where I keep one of my printers. I have two. One is a backup and on the floor under the desk. My Cameo is on the right on top of my desk. I covered a bulletin board with red fabric and pin my daughters artwork there. She makes me all kinds of beautiful things. xo
This desk is from Ikea too. I try to keep the things I use the most in the shelves, like my cuttlebug, cardstock, glue gun etc.
Under my desk I store my kits in Iris boxes. I also keep paper from past kits in a couple. As the kits get used up I separate the left overs and try to keep the papers together until they get mixed into the general population.
This is how I store my alphabets. I have a couple of file type boxes like this for them.
This is my computer desk. I use a laptop and I also keep my scanner here.
The basket under the desk is where I keep recently finished layouts.
I know ya'll want to see my punch storage. I have tried many many things but have found I like drawers the best for most of my storage needs. I keep my punches here right next to my desk. What do you think? More than you thought I had or less? :)
Next to my work desk I have a table (like a card table type thing) since I just never seem to have enough work space. I keep the clip it ups on there and I have this fabulous thing that I got at AC Moore that I keep on the floor. I don't know what the name of it is and have never seen another one. (If anyone knows where I can find another one let me know!) I keep my mists and smooch in there and some other frequently used paints. I also have a basket next to it where I keep my other most often used stamps.
This is another basket I keep on the floor next to my desk with my most often used inks in it.
I frame some of my layouts and take them out periodically and replace them with more recent ones.

I have an unfinished room in basement and that is where I keep all my plastic stackable drawers that house the majority of my supplies. (Believe it or not)
I keep paper in Iris boxes filed by manufacturer in the drawers, dusty attic, stamps, inks, ribbon and everything else.
I have three floor to ceiling sections of them and I use the ones like this.

They are big, hold a lot of stuff and you can get them at Wal Mart or the Family Dollar store. I didn't take photos of this area because it's not so pretty and it's just a lot of plastic store drawers stacked sky high!

I hope you enjoyed the tour. Please leave me comments on your own storage ideas and links to your space. I would love to see them!

OMGosh you have lots of stuff!!! lol I keep my punches in drawers as well. I find it easier that way. These pictures make me want to come over and play with your "stuff"...lol My husband is flying into Green on Monday around 11:30am. He is working in Groton next week. I wish I could have accompanied him as he stays across the street from the Old Mystic Village (I love to walk through there at night for some odd reason) and I could have gone to visit my Mom. Have fun crafting in your room-you have it set up nice!

Oh thanks for sharing your scrappy space! Mine is making me crazy, I keep begging DH to go to IKEA and get me one of those Expedit shelving units (I want one of the BIG ones because I have more than just paper crafts to store: knitting, sewing, etc.). LOVE all of the jars and vintage thrift shop bits you use for storage. I have many of these kinds of things that I would love to drag out and use. If you don't mind I'd like to pin your post for future reference, I love some of your ideas!
