HEARTFELT CREATIONS WEDNESDAY!

Let me say I haven't been able to get enough of the "My Guy" collection at Heartfelt Creations! As soon as I saw these stamps a particular Bon Jovi song came to mind. I knew I would do something with it and this week it finally came to life!

WANTED
"I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted, dead or alive..."
~ Bon Jovi

I had an a total blast creating this project. I used a 12x12 piece of cork for the background. I used my Big Bite to punch holes in it and then I dripped glimmer glaze in red along the sides. I also inked the edges in distess ink for shading.
I printed the poster out on canvas paper. The chains are Tim Holtz and the cogs were a gift from my design team gal Renea. (Thank you dear) I stamped the hat/rope and the guitar/boots on a shaded piece of red paper. I cut the stamps out for embellishments. I also did this with the horse shoes and put them in the center of my cogs.
I stamped the horse on craft metal because we can't forget the steel horse now can we?

Heartfelt Creations Supplies:
HCPC 3458- Western Collage Precut Set
HCPC-3456 - Western Bronco Precut Set
HCD- 720- Western Broncos Die
Other Supplies: 12 x12  Corkboard, Cardstock, Daisy D’s Pattern Paper, Misc. Pattern Paper, Canvas Paper, Chipboard Cogs, Hemp Cord, Eyelets, Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp Chains, Chipboard Clock Hand, Glimmer Glaze, Big Bite Hole Punch, Distress Ink, Twig Branch, Deckle Scissors, Hot Glue Gun, Craft Metal, Archival Ink, metal clip
Instructions:
Randomly punch holes in cork board on the left and right side using a Big Bite Hole Punch. Dribble Glimmer Glaze in Red down each side of the corkboard. Ink the edges all around the cork board with distress ink. Adhere cork board with hot glue to a 12 x12 sheet of card stock for stability. Print out a photo onto canvas paper. Use deckle edge scissors to cut out a size of about 8 x 8 and ink the edges with distress ink. Cut a layer of pattern paper with deckle scissors and another layer of pattern paper (in this case I chose a newsprint) Using the deckle scissors just free cut the paper in a random way to resemble torn paper. Ink the edges of each piece. Punch 5 holes across the top of your bottom layer of pattern paper. Set the eyelets using your Big Bite Punch. Weave the hemp through it as shown. Adhere with hot glue to the cork. Adhere your second layer of pattern paper and your photo on top of it. Tear some peices of paper, ink the edges and place randomly under the bottom layer as shown. Stamp the Western Collage guitar and hat with rope onto paper of your choice. I chose a red paper. Cut the images out as shown. Ink the edges slightly with distress ink. Die cut the horse with the Western Broncos Die onto craft metal and stamp with archival ink. Stamp the horse shoes on the same red paper and die cut. Ink chip board cogs in black ink and adhere the horse shoes to the centers. Ink the clock hand. Adhere a twig branch to left corner close to photo and adhere stamped image of guitar onto the twig and paper. Adhere clock hand beneath it. Adhere two Swivel Clasp chains with hot glue beneath the clock hand. Adhere cog to bottom left corner of photo. Adhere two cogs to upper right photo corner.
Adhere the horse and slightly overlap the stamped rope with hat over the horses legs.

Don't forget to stop by the blog and see all the beautiful work the designers have come up with this week!
