I have just a tad bit left of my ever so gorgeous Scraps Of Elegance February Kit titled "Vintage Elegance" and I thought I would create an altered project inspired by this beautiful tag from Berry Bleu.
I really enjoy creating altered projects with these tags. The tag I selected to work with this month inspired me to do a french theme and the Melissa Frances papers in Vintage Elegance kit blended so well and gave the romantic and soft feel I was going for.

This is a wall hanging. I used a round cardboard type cover that went with one of the round cardboard boxes you can use for gifts. I covered the top in the paper and embellishments. I moved a few of the little embellishments Marivic includes on the tags to suit the positioning I needed.
I had several chipboard Fleur de lis on hand. I painted them in pink acrylic paint and then after they dried I used a scrunched up paper towel to dab on white acrylic paint randomly so soften the pink and add texture. I then took one of my favorite stamps from Heartfelt Creations - the Large Elegant Word Background to stamp over it in distress ink. I don't even put it on a block. I press my ink on the stamp then press parts of the stamp down on the chipboard so it's random and vintage looking.
I used my masking tape technique on the sides. I used several colors of smooch, then a blue acrylic paint dabber to finish it off.
Be sure to stop by the Berry Bleu Blog . There is always a ton of inspiration and fun challenges happening there!

Lisa,
It feels so "spring-y" here...Love your new blog design, but most of all, love your project this month! You did a terrific job and the details are just incredible. If you own a full service car wash detailing shop, I'm sure you will make every car look like a showroom piece after it's gone through the wash..sorry for the analogy..just can't think of any other superlative words to describe your amazing work. Hugs, Marivic
This is so pretty--would be a great Valentine present!
Pretty soft and elegant... I loved that your base was a cardboard top! Just beautiful!
and thank you for your kind comments on my blog. That's my favorite pic I took from the lake... but there are some other cute ones. Off to work for me now. :(
So soft and pretty and I love your masking tape technique!!!!!
