REVEAL DAY AT SCRAPS OF DARKNESS!!!!

SCRAPS OF DARKNESS is proud to introduce JUNE'S KIT
" WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE"

 This kit is filled to the brim with the beautiful versatile Bo Bunny Zoology papers. There are gorgeous Prima and Pet a loo in the kit, Romance add on and Floral and Fauna. Not to mention gorgeous Dusty Attic flowers. Mandy's pins are always a treat and exclusively made to match our kits.  This months color add on boasted the Tim Holtz Distress Stains which are an absolute dream to work with as well as crackle paint and distress ink. I also LOVED the Wendi Vecchi Art Parts and used those right up!

My first layout this month was done using Charlotte's exclusive sketch for us.

 

This is a photo of dd and one of my kitties. I loved how fun these papers were to work with. SO versitile as you could go playful and fun or elegant depending on which side of the papers you used.
The Wendi Vecchi "ART PARTS" chippie is awesome. It's so chunky I took a few of mine apart to get more out of it. I used lots of Moonshadow mist on it and on the flowers as well. I cut the ferns on my Silhouette and the fern edge on my papers is actually an MS snowflake border punch.

Wild Thing

I loved the rusts and golds and chocolate brown of these papers. I did some embossing on this one to give all papers texture. I am in love with my MS Scroll heart punch and have used it to excess on my latest work! LOL  The distress embossing powder included in the color add on is fabulous. I LOVE it. The distress embossing doesn't give a shiny look like regular embossing powders. It gives a a softer distress look. I went over mine with some GLAM for sparkle. That chippie swirl is a ScrapFX piece that can be found in the SCRAPS OF DARKNESS STORE.

The Zoo Crew

This photo of my dd and my sister was taken at our local zoo a few years ago. I cut the frame around the photo out on my Silhouette and used a mask to create the design on it. The brown and green flowers were in the kit along with the chippie "ART PARTS." The other flowers are a Heartfelt Creations stamp I have on hand that I stamped, colored with Shimmerz and cut out. I had some Zva flowers left over from a previous SOD kit and ribbon I had on hand.

Spring

I thought I would go in a different direction with this one. Using the gray paper that was in the kit and taking inspiration from the beautiful pink flower also in our kits (With the Floral and Fauna and Romance add on you get a great selection of beautiful flowers to work with) I used a purple shaded glimmer mist and colored some cardstock and soaked the Zebra paper to color it purple. I also used that Zebra paper for some of my leaves using a green Moonshadow mist to change the color.  I added some metal to the background and ran it through my cuttle bug with an embossing plate and then colored it with alcohol ink. The small scroll frame around the photo is another SCRAPFX piece which can be found in the SOD store.
