Reveal Day at Scraps of Darkness!!!!

The day has FINALLY  arrived where the SOD design team gets to share what they have worked on with the gorgeous February Telltale Heart Kit! Once again Melinda has put together a kit that is not only beautiful and appropriate for those Valentines Day layouts, but versatile as well. So many possibilities with this one girls!

My first layout is my take on Charlotte's a/k/a Suepup's sketch for this month!
This layout is titled "Be my Valentine" and is a photo of my dd. I happened to have on hand Tattered Angels Stamps and this large heart was perfect for this layout! I stamped the heart in black then used a gold embossing powder on it. Included this month in the color add on at SOD was some Glimmer Glam and I used that to paint the heart. I love the classic black and red combo and the gorgeous black fringe that was in the kit! I have also done a tutorial on how to make a double punch ring as seen on this layout. Check it out here.

This is another photo of my daughter back when she was just barely two! I took this in an azalea garden in our town. As many of you know, I LOVE to edit my photos in PSE and I had so much fun with this one! I added wings and fairy dust. My new found love is "Perfect Pearls." I have had this product for long time but somehow got away from using it. I used it lots this month! I added them to my green leaves ( a sizzix die) and made a verdigris style iron fence out of the Dusty Attic.
I also had Tattered Angels calling cards on hand, which again, were perfect for this kit! I stamped the frame and face onto the card.

This is another photo of my dd. (Next month it will be all photos of my older daughter!) I have to distribute the layouts evenly between the two! LOL  We received this awesome fairy diecut in our kit and I decided to dress mine up! I cut up flower petals and layered them to create her little dress. I added some hot pink glitter to her wings. We also received some beautiful pink Shimmerz in our kit and I used that to color my roses on the calling card. I got the new MS deep border punch and am loving that! The flowers and tiny hot pink roses were in our kit too!!!! Love them!

Love the beautiful red and gold of these papers. I used my edge punch in the same way I did the double punch ring tutorial, to create this frame. We also received this awesome Teresa Collins black blingage. In our kit a black heart flourish die cut was included. I opted to use mine in a different way. I snipped the heart part of it off and used the black flourish end of it around my flowers. Again, I used my perfect pearls in gold, along with some white paint and bronze on my chipboard frame.  This is a photo of my dh and I. This June we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary!
Yes peeps, another layout of this silly child of mine! I took these during one of many massive snow falls this year! Again, I am loving the pink and black combo and the hot pinks in this kit! I used my border punch and trimming it very closely was able to work it around the scallops of my pink paper. I used the double ring punch technique - please see tutorial here- and made the flowers using TH Tattered floral die. The smaller pink flowers are stamps that I used then made into flowers. The gorgeous icy dangle beads and Zva flourish were also in this months kit!

So many pretties in the Telltale Heart kit! Each paper is beautiful front and back and lots of added goodies, like Mandy's signature pins, Zva, Glimmer Glaze oh my! Be sure to visit the DT girls for more inspiration! I know I am heading their way now to see what they have done!
