Metamorphosis

I am running a challenge over at Swirlydoos! Oh it's a good one for my Swirly Sista's! First off you have to think outside the box. I want them to scrap a summer photo on a winter page.  Those girls love them some color and pattern and you never see them scrap plain old WHITE! AND I am forcing them to layer and layer and layer.  And mention the word "acrylic" and they run for their lives!  So I cannot wait to see what those ladies do with this. Come on over to Swirlydoos and check out the Dec Challenge - Winter... White + 1!!!!!
Here is my layout as an example for the challenge:
This is a photo of my dd. Photography credit to Gina Coppolino Photography. All my supplies were from past Swirlydoos kits. I used chipboard snowflakes and filled them in with flowers and circles. I used a lot of stickles and diamond dust. The silver butterflies were stamped with an embossing pad on white paper then I used silver embossing powder on them. The title is Tim Holtz die that I cut on my cuttlebug on silver paper. I did some stitching around the page edge and the circles. I used a piece of acrylic over the butterfly in the photo. I know the title is long and maybe odd, but I couldn't get it out of my head. Sometimes, the title comes to me before the page and I work backwards!

I had really been wanting to do a white layout with a limited amount of color so this was a challenge for me as well. The photo really does not do this lo justice. In real life it is really striking with the shimmer of the silver and the crispness of the white!
