Here are a couple of new layouts

I did both of these for challenges over at Scrapbook.com

This first one is a bit different from my norm! It was for "the darker side" challenge at sb. First we had to use dark colors, a dark theme like punk, emo or goth and use our favorite song. I chose to do gothic and my song choice was "Misunderstood" by Bon Jovi.
I used paper that was in one of my past Swirlydoos kits, that bluish background paper and I cut up a paper that had roses on it. I had purchased this die cut gate by Creative Imaginations and this challenge was perfect for it. I cut out some crows from a clip art I purchased and made a distressed flower for one of them to peek out of!

This next layout I completed for the Quote challenge over at sb.
There were a list of quotes to choose from so I picked the one about family. This photo was taken about 10 years ago before we were a family of four! My daughter and I were in my sisters wedding.
The background of this photo was not attractive so I played with it a bit in PSE. I'm not thrilled with the outcome but I am still working on that skill.

I used all the beautiful papers in the July Swirlydoos kit plus the flowers and DA. I ink the DA piece and added some sparkly glitter glue to it. I used a Rock Candy crackle on the big artisan frame and then added diamond dust to it. I have the BG alpha and sticker sheet for Cappella from an earlier purchase so I added them to this lo. I also used an MS punch to make the lacy ruffle around the gold artisan frame.  The quote reads "other things may change us but we start and end with family"

Thank you for visiting me today. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Hugs, Lisa
