Sweetheart

I'm into the February Swirlydoos kit now!!! The juices are flowing and I am staying up way too late at night scrapping! The technique add on for the month was a metal technique by Ten Second Studios. Unfortunately I missed out on it as I stubbornly refuse to become perm on that one. I like to see what it is first. However if you step out the room to say...use the "facilities" blink...they are all gone!!!
Sooooo...I thought I could live without this until I saw that fantasmick embellishments and altered art the designers were doing!  I scoured my local scrap stores today and found a metal kit at AC Moore! This one is by Walnut Hollow and has all the tools. Plus I had a 50% off coupon so whoo hoo for me!

My newest layout is called Sweetheart and is a photo of my dd T that I altered in photoshop. I am starting to learn how to do some things in it. Still having trouble blending my layers together. I need to figure that out. I took this photo which was full color and changed it to b & whte and then just added a little color to her face and lips. I thinks it goes great with this layout!

The background pink paper is MME Bella Bella, something I had in my stash as well as the vintage postcard looking paper. The black lace and  brown strip is from the FEB kit and the other strip is Bo Bunny from last months SWIRLYDOOS kit!. I cut the center out of the black lace paper.

I cut the little hearts and the black flourishes and title on my Silhouette. I used glimmer mist on the heart and the little hearts then went over them with ROCK CANDY and inked the edges in black.

The bling and small butterfly in the lower left corner is from the kit. The butterfly on the top right I stamped, embossed then added rock candy. I made the butterfly body out of glass beads and wire!

The large flowers were in the kit and the small flowers were layered ones that I had on hand. I took them apart used the white flower part and sewed on sequins and pearls.

The transparency border is also from the kit!

Thanks so much for taking a peek!

this is really sweet! I would love to see more on the metal stuff you did! Did you cut the large heart frame on your sillouette too? Love the detail, I love it too!
