Our August kit
is filled with
Teresa Collins, Kaisercraft, Fabscraps
of course there is no shortage of Prima florals and resins
We also have a beautiful acrylic mini album project this month...

My first layout for the month is based on our exclusive sketch by Suepup

This is a photo of younger daughter and I taken last year...
This layout features some of the Fabscraps paper collection included in the kit...
  • I used a piece of Dusty Attic on my layout from my stash.
  • I painted it with white acrylic paint, inked it in some purple and tea stain distress ink.
  • I also used some crackle accents on it then reinked to bring out the cracks.

This photo was taken last year as well. Another photo of my daughter and I holding hands...
This photo came to mind the other day when she told me she loved to hold my hand... be still my heart... how many more years do I have left that she will want to hold my hand...

This layout features another of the Fabscraps paper collections in our kit...
  • I picked up one of the Martha Stewart punch all of the page a few months ago. They are a little trickier to use than the regular punches. I finally had time to practice and now that I have the hang of it I am hooked! I used that to make the design around my page edge
  • I used alcohol ink in purple on the little roses that were part of the prima crystals and pearls to color the roses to match my page
  • The leaves are the same as I used in the layout above. I colored them with purple ink
  • The Prima heart that I put my photo in was in a previous Scraps of Darkness kit

This is another photo of my dear daughter when she was a baby. I had taken photos of "my favorite things" in her room. I wish I had been into scrapping when I had my older daughter. I never thought to do that with her.

This layout features the Teresa Collins paper collection in our kit...
  • The doily I used behind my photo is one that my friend Marivic from Berry Bleu had given me.
  • I misted it with a pink shade of Tattered Angels
  • The ribbon in our kit was just gorgeous and I made my multi loop bow which is my favorite

  • I take my flowers apart sometimes to get more out of them
  • In this case I took some of the centers out of the flowers and added a punched snowflake for my stamen center
  • The leaves are from the same stamps and dies I mentioned above
  • Inked and glimmer misted in pearl

I hope you enjoyed
My first 3 layouts
***more to come soon***
Stay tuned
